We price for the job. Not the race.
In a standard office environment, we would typically expect to test around 20–25 appliances per hour.
We’ll give you a clear estimate before getting started.
No problem. If your business requires a per-item price or itemised invoice we can tailor the quote and documentation to suit your requirements.
PAT Testing is not required by law however, regulations are in place requiring businesses to ensure that electrical appliances are safe.
Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
Based in both locations, so we're ideally placed to look after businesses in London and the Hastings & St Leonards area.
If you're further afield, no problem, drop us a line, we'll always consider work in other locations.
Doing the job properly. It really isn't that complicated.

Anyone can test an appliance quickly. The important bit is testing it properly .
With Questest the emphasis is on offering a QUALITY service! We'll do a thorough job, taking the time to inspect equipment properly, assessing overall safety and, provide sensible, expert advice, backed up with all the documentation you need.
We're not interested in ticking boxes or seeing how many appliances we can get through before lunch. We're interested in doing a good job.

Hi, I'm Ian —
For over 30 years I've been working as an electrical electro-mechanical and electronics hardware engineer, mostly in on-site support roles so, I know my way around the technical side of things. But for me, good engineering isn't just about knowing how things work — it's about taking pride in your work and looking after the people you're doing it for.
I've always enjoyed the customer side of my work too. I believe people appreciate being dealt with by someone who is approachable, reliable and genuinely interested in helping.
That's really the ethos behind Questest. Good, personal service, quality work and no unnecessary fuss. I'll take the time to understand what you need, do the job properly and give you straightforward advice without drowning you in technical jargon.
And yes, I'll probably talk to your appliances while I'm testing them.
They don't usually answer back.
Choose whichever works best for you.
